Namibia was my first ever trip to the African continent. And what an adventure it turned out to be. Do you want a vacation filed with adventure, beautiful nature, a lot of wildlife and culture? Mixed with comfortable hours behind the wheel of a 4WD car and quiet evenings around the bonfire under the stars with a wonderful dinner on the plate? And not to forget the company of great hosts and their knowledge of the country? Is your answer yes to these questions? Then you have to go to Namibia. I did it, now it’s your turn.

The AllAroundSafari Tour (Botswana and Zambia) was a once in a lifetime experience. I had such a wonderful time! We did so many fun things and saw so much that it felt much more than a week and a half. And it felt so nice to do a different type of safari than most people do – for example like driving the 4X4 ourselves and sleeping in the bush in tents on top of the cars. And all the guides were so wonderful people and good company. We all became really good friends, and I learned a lot about the animals, the different countries and the continent in general. I recommend this tour with all of my heart. It was much more than what I expected it to be. You will not regret going on this trip.

Unlike other trips I have read about and tried, here you drive your own car which gives a totally different feeling of participation in the tour. The AllRoundSafaris team knows the Southern parts of Africa very well, and on trips to Namibia and Botswana, I have been able to experience a lot of different things from seeing leopards, lions, and elephants, etc. to driving in the sand and spending time with the bushmen.

This safari has probably been our most successful vacation ever and the service, professionalism, and kindness of AllRoundSafaris was far above expectations. We think Africa will rank high on our targets when we set for the next vacation.

I came to Africa and Botswana from Norway and didn’t really know what to expect from a safari. But after being on tour with AllRoundSafaris, I have to say that it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Botswana with its beautiful scenery, and the guide’s great knowledge of the country and its people, wildlife and nature, and the calm and practical way of handling things made for an excellent combination. The safari got better and better every day, and I felt so safe and well taken care of. Everything was so very well organized from arrival to departure. I really hope I will be able to come back to Africa one day and join them for another adventure!

First time I landed in Africa, I didn’t know what to expect – except for that it would probably be quite exotic, and if the tour description was right, it would probably be very good too! It was! Meeting the AllRoundSafaris team at the airport in Johannesburg immediately gave the impression that everything was planned and under control. Two weeks later, while leaving the Landrovers in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, that was still the impression. During this time we had been driving from Johannesburg, into Botswana, seen the wide-open landscape of the Makgadigadi Pans, the green labyrinth of the Okavango Delta and all the animals in Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. We had crossed the borders between South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and filled out all the formal papers and guest books in and out of the parks. All we had to do ourselves was to drive the cars and put up and down the tents. I was never hungry, and never afraid – everything felt safe and well prepared. A self-drive safari with AllRoundSafaris is a fantastic way of exploring the African nature – feel the sandy wheel track leading you to new adventures. Not having to think about spare parts, food, pre-bookings, paper works and all the small things that you need local knowledge to find. Tar roads are boring. I want to go back to Africa.

Our tour with AllRoundSafaris was undoubtedly everything that we had expected and more. Every day was an adventure. You always feel safe traveling with them.

I am normally not the kind of person to join an organised tour, but when it comes to AllRoundSafaris, you really get the best of all worlds. I felt like an explorer travelling with local friends, as opposed to a tour guide. They have that warm, personal touch that makes it feel like you are visiting instead of holidaying. I loved the trip around Namibia, from bush to sand dunes, and I hope one day to return and see the rest of the country.
